Casey West, MD, is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician. He graduated from UT Houston Medical School in 1999 and did his residency at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where he completed his training in 2002. He was an ER doctor and QA director at St. David's Medical Center in Austin, TX, for approximately 20 years. As an ER doctor, he has seen approximately 90,000 patients in person. Cases ranged from simple colds to critical illnesses, major traumas, orthopedic injuries, delivering babies, strokes, acute coronary syndromes, and pediatric care. Basically, if you can imagine it, he’s done it.
He has been doing telemedicine urgent care for about 5 years, working for national telemedicine companies.
He is an Air Force Veteran and served with the 59th Medical Wing at Lackland Air Force Base with the 59th Emergency Medicine Squadron. He comes from an Air Force family, with his dad, sister, brothers, brother-in-law, and nephew all having served.
He moved to South Tampa in 2023. He has 2 daughters, ages 6 and 8, and his parents live a few blocks away.
